Record digging and collecting can easily become an obsession, and for many it becomes a way of life. David Buttle (aka Mr Bongo) has been collecting records and travelling the world looking for rare wax for over 30 years. In that time he has been in many precarious record hunting situations, discovered many super rarities, and also set up his own record shops and the Mr Bongo record label. There are many stories to tell and it was a pleasure for him to be invited to share some with the excellent Crate Diggers team. The concept of the show is this; the Crate Diggers team interview record collectors at a location where they house their record collections and ask them to talk through their crate digging story. Having been a fan of the series for some time and with many friends of Mr Bongo already haven taken part it was time to tell the Mr Bongo story...
