Skull Snaps – Skull Snaps
Widely available, officially, for the first time in forty-five years, featuring ‘It’s A New Day’, one of the most sampled break beats in history. Featuring sleeve notes by Anton Spice (Vinyl Factory).
Atmosfear – En Trance
Originally released in 1981 via Elite / MCA records, ‘En Trance’ is a joyous album that arguably represents the pinnacle of the 'Brit-funk' sound. Also popular in the US at the time – Atmosfear were championed in clubs such as the mythic ‘Paradise Garage’ and 'The Loft' by the likes of Larry Levan and David Mancuso.
Gyedu-Blay Ambolley – Simigwa
A legendary Ghanain album – with one of the music iconic covers ever! – that fuses Highlife, afrobeat, folk and funk. This is Ambolleys debut solo album originally released in 1975, written and produced with Ebo Taylor.
Tim Maia – Tim Maia 
The 1977 album from legendary Brazilian artist, Tim Maia. A fusion of soul, boogie, disco and MPB, featuring ‘E Necessario’. ‘E Necessario’ has been a favourite of ours for many years; included on our Brazilian Beats Brooklyn compilation and released as part of our Brazil 45’s series.
Spaceark – Spaceark
Brilliant self-released, private-press jazz/soul LP from 1975, recorded at Sunset Sound studios in LA. Official Mr Bongo reissue with liner notes by Amar Patel.
